Broadcast Producers Workshop

Ever wonder how television is produced and why you can't seem to achieve the same quality you see on TV programs? Or are you starting a career in the field and want to take your knowledge to the next level? Here is a rare opportunity to learn how to become a solid broadcast-quality producer. Walter Graff takes you on a one-day journey where you will learn the basics of field producing -putting together videotape packages for the kinds of programs you see every day on network and cable television. It's always the story and this event teaches you how to tell a story on film. The information taught in this program is easily applied to any from of filmmaking as it's about telling a story in pictures. You'll learn how pieces such as these examples are produced and at the end of the day have a much better understanding of how to tell a story. From conceiving an idea, to formatting it, writing a script, shooting, logging and editing -Walter will discuss and demonstrate the methods professionals use. This seminar is designed to get you to think about what it takes to envision an idea and execute it. This intimate workshop, will provide a relaxed yet stimulating environment in which to hone your skills.

You will spend part of the day learning how to put together the idea and format your piece. From how to do an interview and get non-professional and professional talent to shine, to dealing with getting permission to shoot, this seminar will cover as much as we can squeeze onto a day. Using video already shot, some you will shoot, and putting it all together in post, this seminar will give you the insight and background necessary to produce television not unlike what you see produced on national TV everyday. For anyone needing to understand how to tell a story, newsworthy, narrative, or dramatic this unique course will take you to the next level.

The cost for this workshop is $100.00, which includes the instruction which will take approximately 8 hours, and necessary materials. The next seminar is scheduled for Saturday, October 21st, 2006 to be held in NYC.
